Personal Response to Amendment Projects

Which amendment, in your opinion, moved America closest to being a "perfect union"?  You have seen presentations on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 24th, and 26th Amendments.  Each of these amendments established a different America.  Each of these Amendments was also meant to further the democratic ideals of unity, freedom, peace, well-being, defense, and/ or liberty.  How did the amendment you chose move us further toward these ideals?
